Lisa McIntire

I’m a writer and editor, and my focus is creating persuasive, compelling communications for causes that matter.

After a year teaching English in Japan, I got my career started at Google as an AdWords specialist. I was also a founding member of the Talks at Google team and hosted dozens of events. I’ve worked as a press aide on two statewide campaigns, and I ran social media for the American Foundation for Equal Rights during their historic trial against Proposition 8. I spent time in Washington, D.C., managing new media for EMILY’s List during and after midterm elections. For the past four years, I’ve written copy for fundraising and communications for top tech and media companies, for politicians, candidates and causes, and for progressive non-profits.

My specialties include strategic messaging, blogging and social media, op-eds, content strategy, fundraising campaigns, media outreach, email campaigns, web copy, landing pages, ghostwriting, speechwriting, and marketing collateral.

A graduate of UC Berkeley with a B.A. in English, I live in San Francisco with my dog Toby, and I volunteer with Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.
